The Opportunity 

GagaMuller is seeking Intermediate Quantity Surveyors to support project delivery activities within our Dublin office. Working closely with senior commercial and project delivery teams, you will support the commercial management of CSA and MEP construction packages across various projects. 

This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale commercial, infrastructure, industrial, and mission-critical developments while developing your commercial, contractual, and project delivery experience within a fast-paced consultancy environment. 

Working as part of a multidisciplinary project delivery environment, you will support procurement, cost control, reporting, subcontractor coordination, and change management activities across multiple live projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Scope & Delivery Management 

  • Assist in the procurement process including preparation of procurement documentation and tender packages.  
  • Prepare tender documentation, including Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and schedules of rates.  
  • Support subcontractor work packages, including enquiries, tender comparisons, tender evaluations, and subcontract issuance.  
  • Assist with quantity take-offs using BIM-enabled software and digital construction tools.  
  • Support cost analysis activities and identify potential value engineering opportunities. 

2. Stakeholder Coordination 

  • Establish effective communication channels and foster collaboration amongst project stakeholders.  
  • Attend client meetings, subcontractor meetings, internal meetings, and project coordination workshops where required.  
  • Work closely with Project Managers, BIM teams, Scheduling teams, and Construction teams to support integrated project delivery.  
  • Maintain communication with contractors and consultants regarding project progress and commercial updates.  
  • Support multidisciplinary coordination across commercial and project delivery teams. 

3. Risk & Compliance Management

  • Support the change management process by assessing the impacts on project scope, cost, and program. 
  • Contribute to the identification and management of commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.  
  • Review programme schedules, RFIs, submittal schedules, and purchasing updates to support the timely close-out of project actions.  
  • Become familiar with contract conditions, works requirements, and associated contract documentation.  
  • Support monitoring of subcontractor performance relating to quality, delays, and project delivery.

4. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, valuations, and earned value analysis for construction packages.  
  • Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts and commercial reporting activities.  
  • Maintain accurate commercial records, procurement logs, and reporting documentation.  
  • Assist with subcontractor final accounts and preparation of final account documentation.  
  • Review site documentation, including progress records and reporting trackers. 

5. Collaboration & Integration 

  • Utilise BIM and digital construction tools to streamline project collaboration and data management processes.  
  • Support integration of cost management activities across project delivery functions.  
  • Work collaboratively with project controls, construction, BIM, scheduling, and commercial teams.  
  • Promote a proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused project environment.  
  • Support successful project delivery through effective commercial management and stakeholder coordination. 

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.  
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contract administration.  
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.  
  • Experience using QS software such as CostX, Cubit, or equivalent is advantageous.  
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams. 

What Experience We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of post-qualification experience within a Quantity Surveying role.  
  • Contracting or consultancy experience within construction environments is preferred.  
  • Experience supporting procurement, forecasting, reporting, subcontractor management, and change management activities.  
  • Experience working on Commercial, Industrial, Infrastructure, Residential, or Mission Critical projects is advantageous.  
  • Experience using BIM-enabled workflows and digital construction tools is advantageous.  
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.  
  • Ability to work effectively within fast-paced construction and project delivery environments.
